Group 7 cooling has separate illustrations for the radiator, water pump, drive pulleys, and belts depending on engine size. The 2.7L uses different pulleys than the 3.2L or 3.5L — look at Fig. 7-415 vs Fig. 7-420. If you order a water pump for the wrong engine, you’ll have a misaligned belt and an overheating car in ten miles. The manual also shows the transmission oil cooler lines and the coolant recovery system plumbing. Save the headache by checking the figure number before you buy parts.

Electrical Diagnostics Without Guessing

Group 8 is a beast — starters, alternators, relays, sensors, single board engine controllers, wiring from headlamp to dash, instrument panel, body and accessories, even spark plugs, cables, and coils. The sensor section breaks it out by engine: Fig. 8-605 for 2.7L, Fig. 8-610 for 3.2L and 3.5L. Transmission sensors are Fig. 8-615, body sensors 8-620.
